Covid-19 Procedures and Policies
Below are the procedures and policies that we are putting in place when we reopen. Our procedures and policies are subject to change depending on the status of coronavirus in our area as well as state requirements.
When You ArrivePlease wait in your car or our safe space until we call for your class to enter or until there are 5 minutes or less until class time. A contactless thermometer will be used to scan for a fever. If a fever is detected, you will not be allowed to attend. Everyone will also wash their hands with soap and water when they arrive.
Illness and Make-upsIf you or your child has been sick or around someone suspected of being sick, please do not come. If one of you has a runny nose, cough, sore throat, or other symptoms, please stay home. We will give make-ups for all classes missed because of illness. Please notify us that you will miss because of illness by the end of the day of your child’s class time in order for a make-up to be given.
QuarantineIf your child or someone in the family is being tested for Covid or has had a positive test result, you must stay home until you have a negative test result or until you have quarantine for 2 full weeks from exposure. If your child’s class at school is told to quarantine, your child cannot to come to gymnastics until that quarantine is lifted. We will work with you about make-ups when you return. Please email know that is why you are not coming so we are aware
OccupancyWe are limiting the number of people in the gym. Currently the lobby is limited to 15 people. The gym is limited to no more than 30 gymnasts. We will adjust the occupancy as needed throughout the year.
(Updated 8/2020) |
LobbyWith limits of occupancy, we ask that only one parent/guardian per child wait in the lobby. Any sibling that waits must wait with the parent/guardian in their chair or wait outside. Children will not be permitted to run around the lobby.
In the GymAfter washing hands, gymnasts will take their water bottle to a designated area and sit on a designated spot. The water fountain is closed for drinking. Each gymnast will need their own water bottle with a screw on lid for class. We will have each area of the gym marked to help students social distance throughout their class time.
After ClassAfter class, each child will be given hand sanitizer and dismissed one at a time to their cubbies to gather their belongings. We ask that each family quickly dismiss so that we can be ready for our next class.
Foam PitThe foam pit will be closed for the foreseeable future. We will open it when we feel it is safe to do so. It is not feasible to disinfect adequately at this time.
Face MasksWe are not requiring gymnasts to wear masks during class. If you want your child to wear a mask, they can wear one. We recommend parents wearing one if they are in the lobby waiting but allow each person to decide what is best for them. Coaches will wear face masks if they cannot maintain social distance.
CleaningWe will be cleaning handheld equipment and vinyl surfaces with a disinfectant from the EPA approved list between groups and classes. We will also disinfect high touch surfaces in the lobby and bathrooms between classes. Each evening we will disinfect larger equipment and the carpet surfaces.
